2024 Degelman HDSR Series 930

2024 Degelman HDSR Series 930

Introducing the all new HDSR line of Heavy Duty Staggered Rippers from Degelman. When your operation needs something more than conventional tillage, look no further. The HDSR offers aggressive, industry leading 24” maximum ripping depth. With the under frame clearance of 44”, there’s plenty of room for crop residue and rocks to pass through the machine. It also makes changing points easier and safer.

HDSR stands for exactly what it is- a Heavy Duty Staggered Ripper. Available in both a large wing machine and a mid-wing machine.

The large wing is compatible with 15 shanks on 20” spacing, or 11 shanks on 30” spacing. The mid-wing machine is compatible with 13 shanks on 20” spacing or 9 shanks on 30” spacing. Working sizes on these machines range from 22’ to 27’5".

Built and designed in a truly unique Degelman way, the HDSR Series of Staggered Rippers will be a game changer for your farming operation.

The benefits of a staggered ripper

The Staggered two row layout provides better trash flow and lower draft than an in-line ripper. It also allows for shorter implement contour length, easier transport, and better compaction shattering ability than a V-ripper. The HDSR Series will help farmers and producers have better plant density, faster crop emergence, increased fertilizer utilization, and decreased greenhouse gas emissions.

Simple & effective depth control

We know every minute of downtime on your operation matters, thats why our simple depth control is as easy as adding shims to the wheel cylinders, conveniently located at the front of the machine.

Auto levelling system- drop the pin and go

The ripper levels itself automatically so no hitch level adjustment is necessary and you can easily change ripping depth without having to exit the tractor and manually crank a turnbuckle to re-level the machine.

Under frame clearance of 44"

That gives plenty of room for crop residue and rocks to pass through the machine. It also makes changing points easier and safer.

Fight back against compaction

As equipment increases in size and weight, so does soil compaction which robs farmers of yield. Compaction not only decreases yields but also damages soil health over the long term. Some common effects due to compaction are: stunted root development, limited moisture flow, a lack of oxygen or denitrification, harm to beneficial soil life, and a lack of oxygen which results in nitrous oxide (GHG) emissions.

Each HDSR machine comes with an included depth probe to find the hard pan in your field. By simply adjusting the ripping depth to 1-2” below this hard pan, you will ensure complete hard pan destruction while reducing part wear and fuel usage.

Narrow transport

With a narrow transport width of just 12 feet 1 inch and a short transport height of 12 feet, you can quickly fold it up and get to the next field. When you add the chopper rollers, the height increases slightly to 13 feet 11 inches.

The HDSR Series of Staggered Rippers offers a positive hitch weight in transport, resulting in easier implement attachment and safer towing.
